What we did

Using our own MGB-Tech machine guidance components we built a system that provides 5 CM positioning with the taut wire principle.

For the inclination measurement we used three of our high accurate SAE1 gravitational inclination sensors.

We used a constant tension winch to straighten the draw wire. By accurately measuring the angles of the draw wire and the pitch roll of the frame combined with a cable length measurement gave us all the information needed to calculate the position.

The draw wire length was interfaced with our ENC1 quadrature encoder.
