The SAE1 is a high accuracy angle CAN sensor. It is specifically designed to be used in demanding machine guidance applications. It can be software configured as a full 360° angle sensor or a +-90° pitch roll sensor. Its stainless steel housing and connectors provide protection in the harshest environments.
The SAE1 uses MEMS technology to create a sensor that has no moving parts. This ensures that it can endure high impacts and has no mechanical wear.
Once installed the sensor can be configured over the CAN bus. It has three predefined filters to match the required responsiveness.
It is designed so you would only need one sensor that can be configured for the task at hand. It can be used for both bulldozer and excavator applications.
There are a variety of mounting plates and cabling solutions with or without protection readily available to meet the different applications.
Every sensor is calibrated to specification and verified on our calibration benches in both the rotational and pitch-roll planes and is stability verified before shipping.
The data update rate can be set from 1 Hz up to 30 Hz.
